Innovation Portal

Project Description

Rogers & Willard completed the first phase of construction of the Innovation Portal, a 29,000-square-foot business incubator facility spanning an entire downtown Mobile block. The project blended new construction with the renovation of historic brick and masonry buildings, preserving the character of the Automobile Alley Historic District. Work included selective demolition, restoration of steel windows, and adaptive reuse of existing structures to create modern offices, meeting spaces, and support areas for Innovation Portal. The result is a dynamic hub that supports local entrepreneurs while respecting Mobile’s architectural heritage.

As an architect, I have worked with many contractors, including Rogers & Willard. Having worked with them on many projects over several years, I can say, few deliver the consistency, quality, and teamwork that I have experienced with Rogers & Willard. Communication is the key to any successful project. They are outstanding in keeping everyone informed and involved throughout the process.
