Rogers & Willard, Inc.

Build impressive structures and it gets noticed.

Business Alabama Publication
In 2010, Rogers & Willard was headlined in the Business Alabama magazine in a “Top Project by Alabama Builders” article. The article is concentrated on the build-outs of the RSA building in downtown Mobile, a major undertaking, not only for the city and the state, but also for all of the subcontractors and vendors involved. We give credit to all of them, for without them, we would get no accolades.

RSA Tower
As the Business Alabama article indicates, Rogers & Willard has had the privilege of being one of the major contractors in getting many of the build-outs completed. The work continues.

Going Paperless
With the addition of new software, we are in the process of going paperless. This is a time consuming project to get archived documents scanned, but it will get completed. Eventually, we will be able to accept invoices via e-mail. Currently, we are scanning all payables, subcontracts and purchase orders, etc. Construction companies are notorious for being “paper creators”. At Rogers & Willard we continue to expand our office recycling program and recently entered into a contract to recycle all of our office paper, metals and plastics.

Plan Room - on-line
If you are a Subcontractor, you are already aware that all plans and specifications can now be accessed in our on-line Plan Room. This has saved much time and effort for all subs bidding on our jobs.

Federal Contracts
Rogers & Willard is actively pursuing and bidding medical facilities as well as federal contracts in a “TEAMING” effort with a disabled-veteran-owned company.

Mobile “Moon Pie”
We were successful in landing the bid for the RSA GM Building “Moon Pie” drop apparatus. Not quite Times Square, but how about “Times Square of the South” – what better way to represent Mobile (founders of Mardi Gras) on New Year’s eve than with a Moon Pie drop.

Staff Update
Since our last update, Julie Beall has joined our team to replace our retired controller. Her vast knowledge and expertise is being felt throughout the company. We have lost a few valuable and talented superintendents to retirement. Last year, John Snell, (15 years), Ed Butts (15 years) and “Bucky” Alumbaugh (13 years) retired after years of excellent service to Rogers & Willard. They are missed but we wish them all the best in their retirement.
